Announcing the United Front

Pioneer Valley Roller Derby is proud to announce the formation of our new team, the United Front!

The United Front is an all- and no-gender team that welcomes any roster-eligible skater regardless of assigned sex, gender identity (or lack thereof), or gender presentation and expression.

In 2006, Pioneer Valley Roller Derby first began to break down gender barriers by founding the world’s first flat track men’s roller derby team, the Dirty Dozen, and being the first league in the country to have both women’s and men’s teams.

Nine years later, the creation of the United Front upholds our mission to advance flat track roller derby by setting a precedent for inclusion of anyone and everyone who wishes to be involved with the sport.

The inaugural bout of this new team is scheduled for May 16th in Northampton, MA, as part of a doubleheader alongside Western Mass Destruction. We hope to see you there to cheer on the newest addition to the PVRD family!
