11/27/2009- PVRD Press

Northampton, MA - PVRD fans united and participated in an evening of debauchery with the members, family, friends and fans of Pioneer Valley Roller Derby. Scavenger hunt commenced at Hugos in Northampton, with arm wrestling that featured competitions with players Bitches Bruze, Blood Bath & Beyond, Jurasskick Park and Mars Travolta.

Music at the Elevens featured rocking sets from multiple local bands. Former (and hopefully again) PVRD skater for the Dirty Dozen, Wrench, opened with his band from Boston, icabod. Followed by the Uncomfortables, Problem with Dragons, and (k)ingdom. The crowd was enthusiastic and competitive, drinking out of skate boots and dancing late into the night.

Prizes were awarded for arm wrestling PVRD players, finding jammer panties and a dance contest. While the rivalry was hot between teams, one group came out ahead and took the golden skate wheel medallions to victory - congratulations to the success of the Bruce Campbells, we hope to see you at the start of our 2010 season!
