Big Fun in Holyoke!

On Saturday, July 12th, PVRD enjoyed a great bout and a fantastic turnout at the first of two double headers taking place this summer at the Fitzpatrick Skating Rink in Holyoke.
The action was fast and furious and your home town teams came away with a pair of hard fought victories.
Recent additions to the men's derby world, the CT Death Quads hit hard and put up some impressive defense, but the Dirty Dozen held the day and earned a 123-35 win.
On the ladies' side, the CT Rollergirls' seasoned squad of blockers and jammers gave the WMD a whole bunch of hard times. CT held the lead through most of the game, but WMD staged a crowd pleasing come back in the last 5 jams and pulled out a 47-43 victory in an amazingly defensive game.
PVRD would like to thank the outstanding ladies & gents from Connecticut for coming up and helping us make this bout a success.
Please check out our next bout on Saturday, August 9th. The Dirty Dozen will face the undefeated New York Shock Exchange for the third time and the WMD will take on the Garden State Rollergirls.
